About us
Our wonderful, friendly choir is conducted by Karen Hill with Claire as our pianist and run by some amazing volunteers.
We work hard each week to make our singing the best it can be. Whilst doing this we share many laughs and our weekly sessions are a huge amount of fun. We have a welcoming atmosphere and enjoy working hard to raise money for local charities. We perform as much as we can, generally 4 times per school year. We have raised thousands of pounds for charities since the choir was started in 2008 by Tessa Fineman.
Since its inception, the choir has grown from 9 to 70 members aged from 20 to 90!
There are no auditions. The only requirement is that you love singing and are prepared to rehearse with commitment in an atmosphere of friendship and enjoyment.
A few things we’re great at
Over the years the concerts that we have been involved in or have put on ourselves have been to raise money for various Charities. We try to concentrate on local Charities and these have included Woodchurch Driving Group RDA, The Rotary Club of Ashford, Porchlight, Pilgrim’s Hospice and, most recently, Kaleidoscope Childcare in Aldington. We have also raised money for larger concerns such as Guide Dogs for the Blind, Cancer Research, Marie Curie and many more.
